Continuing our deep relationship with pals at Pitchfork, 2K Sports is the official video game partner for the legendary Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago's Union Park July 18-20. The festival features quite a few artists from current and previous 2K Sports Soundtracks including Sebadoh, Jay Reatard, !!!, The Hold Steady, No Age, Les Savy Fav, Ghostface, Dinosaur Jr, and more. Festival goers can stop by the 2K Video Game Lounge and rock out to MLB 2K8 and Top Spin 3, so if you're in Chi-Town this weekend, be sure to visit the 2K team.

SPIN & MLB 2K8 All-Star Kickoff

2K Sports and SPIN Magazine joined forces to kickoff MLB All-Star week in style at New York City's Hiro Ballroom with an exclusive performance by Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., with DJ sets by Pase Rock (pictured below) and Alex English. Other entertainment included the MLB 2K8 Nintendo Wii gaming lounge which was busy all night long.

Just a few of the stars sighted at the big event include British rockers Your Vegas (pictured center, below), celebrity publicist Lizzie Grubman, Julian Casablancas- lead singer of The Strokes, Anthony from Band of Thieves, Sean Stewart - son of rock legend Rod Stewart, and "Gossip Girl" co-stars Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick.

The All-Star Kickoff was Albert Hammond Jrs (pictured top, below) first show in support of his new album mo Te Llama? which released the day before the event.

Beginning April 4, 2008, fans of all ages will be able to participate in a number of exciting activities online including a 72-hour Play & Win Sweepstakes. Every hour, gamers who register and play can win special prize packages such as exclusive 2K Sports t-shirts, hats, Microsoft points, and other prizes.
