After reading the recent announcement of server closures, I thought I'd been lucky having already gotten the online league achievement out of the way for NHL 2K7, and 1v1 play online still being available for the 30 plays and 10 quits achievements, right?

Wrong. Apparantly the 30 plays and 10 quits achievements still required the 2K servers to "verify" these game sessions, thus making these achievements also unattainable.

It's bad enough that the game was released with a glitched achievement (Penalty Shot on All-Star), but closing down servers making more achievements unattainable is extremely frustrating.. So it's highly unlikely that the servers will ever return for the lobbies, but is there no way that these 1v1 sessions can be verified for the other 2 achievements to unlock, since the games can still be played?

Is there any possibility of them ever coming back under 2K, Microsoft or otherwise?

Seriously, if I won the lottery I'd give 2K a bunch of money to put the servers back up and fix any glitched achievements from their games..

I'm sending Microsoft a petition about unattainable achievements, and this would be useful information..
